Moving The Moon

Can you help me ?

Where did she come from

This time of night,

Hanging on to a string

Of bright golden light.

What would you like me to do?

Come catch a good hold

And help me along,

Move quickly before

The moment is gone.

Night is not a good time to fly a kite.

I’m not flying a kite

I do that in June,

This time of year

I’m moving the moon.

You can’t move the moon!

Don’t dwell on what

You think can’t be done,

My dear man do hurry

I’ll soon have to run.

Hold it here, now just follow me.

We panted and pulled

And laughed with delight,

Two tugging together

From left to the right.

And believe it or not the moon moved.

Please tell D and the M’s

They’ve a goddess inside,

To help them whenever

They feel mystified.
